AhlulBayt News Agency: Respected clerics including Maulana Tajdar Hussain Zaidi, Maulana Ali Mehdi Rizvi, Maulana Kashif Zaidpuri, Maulana Imran Shakeel, Maulana Mohammad Raza Zaidpuri, Mausana Helal Abbas, and Maulana Ali Abbas attended and shared their views.
While addressing the gathering, Maulana Tajdar Hussain Zaidi said, “The demolition of sacred shrines was not a religious issue, but a fully political conspiracy rooted in enmity towards the Ahlul Bayt (the family of the Prophet).” He criticized the silence of Muslims on the issue, saying,
“Today, Indian Muslims are raising their voices for the grave of Aurangzeb, while the grave of the Prophet’s daughter remains abandoned, and they are shamefully silent.”
He further warned that imperialist powers are trying to portray this issue as a "Shia matter", whereas, in truth, “It is the concern of every Muslim who holds love and respect for the Prophet and his companions.”
At the end of the program, Maulana Mohammad Raza Zaidpuri, the chief organizer of the protest and Imam of Friday prayer, thanked all attendees and said, “We should not lose hope. Our duty is to keep raising our voice in protest; delivering results is the responsibility of Allah.”
Maulana Tajdar Hussain Zaidi read an official memorandum to the Indian government on behalf of the local people of Barabanki, urging it to pressure the Saudi government and take steps towards the immediate reconstruction of Jannat al-Baqi.
The memorandum made the following demands to the Indian government:
- Raise the issue of respectful reconstruction of Jannat al-Baqi cemetery with the Saudi Arabian government.
- Ensure the dignified restoration of the graves of Hazrat Fatima Zahra (S.A.) and the four revered Imams.
- Facilitate pilgrimage and homage for India's Shia and non-Wahhabi Sunni communities to these sacred sites.
- Promote religious tolerance by raising the issue at international platforms.
Maulana Mohammad Raza also sent a memorandum to the Saudi Ambassador in India, urging the restoration of Jannat al-Baqi cemetery in Medina with dignity and demanding the reopening of pilgrimage access.
